Suicide Prevention Support

No one should have to face their darkest moments alone. Our Suicide Prevention service provides compassionate, non-judgemental support for LGBTQ+ people who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts, emotional distress or a mental health crisis. We understand that stigma, discrimination, isolation and a lack of understanding can have a significant impact on mental wellbeing, and we're here to listen.

Whether you need someone to talk to, help finding the right support or simply reassurance that you're not alone, our team is here to help you take the next step. Every conversation is treated with dignity, respect and confidentiality.

Our support includes:

  • One-to-one emotional support

  • Suicide prevention and safety planning

  • Signposting to specialist services

  • Ongoing wellbeing support where appropriate

Dementia Support

Living with dementia, or supporting someone who has dementia, can feel overwhelming. Our Dementia Support service is here for people living with dementia, as well as their families, friends and carers.

We provide practical guidance, emotional support and opportunities to connect with others who understand the challenges dementia can bring. Whether you've recently received a diagnosis, are caring for a loved one or simply need someone to talk to, we're here to help you feel informed, supported and less alone.

Our aim is to help people live well with dementia while ensuring carers receive the support they deserve. Dementia affects the whole family, and no one should have to navigate that journey on their own.

Our support includes:

  • Information and guidance following a diagnosis

  • Emotional support for individuals and carers

  • Signposting to specialist dementia services

  • Community support and wellbeing resources

LGBTQ+ Domestic Abuse Support

Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and supported in their relationships. Sadly, domestic abuse within LGBTQ+ communities is often hidden, misunderstood or overlooked, leaving many people feeling isolated and unsure where to turn.

Dual Spirits is a specialist support service delivered by our trusted partners at Impactful Governance, providing a safe, confidential and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ people experiencing domestic abuse, coercive control or unhealthy relationships. The service recognises the unique barriers LGBTQ+ individuals can face when seeking help, including stigma, discrimination, fear of being misunderstood and a lack of inclusive support services.

Whether you're currently experiencing abuse, questioning a relationship, supporting someone else or rebuilding your life after leaving an abusive situation, Dual Spirits is here to help. You'll be treated with compassion, dignity and without judgement, with support tailored to your individual circumstances.

The service can provide:

  • Confidential one-to-one support in a safe, inclusive environment.

  • Emotional support and mentoring to help rebuild confidence and wellbeing.

  • Practical advice, safety planning and signposting to specialist organisations.

  • Support that understands the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ people and the barriers they may face when accessing mainstream services.

Support for Unpaid LGBTQ+ Carers

Being an unpaid carer can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be physically, emotionally and financially challenging. For many LGBTQ+ carers, these responsibilities are often made even harder by experiences of discrimination, social isolation or services that don't fully understand their relationships, identities or support networks.

Delivered by our trusted partners at Impactful Governance, our LGBTQ+ Carers Support service provides a safe, inclusive space where unpaid carers can access tailored advice, emotional support and opportunities to connect with others who share similar experiences. The service recognises that LGBTQ+ carers may face unique barriers when accessing mainstream support and aims to ensure every carer feels seen, valued and supported.

Whether you're caring for a partner, family member, friend or chosen family, we're here to help you look after your own wellbeing as well as the person you care for. Through one-to-one support, mentoring, community activities and signposting to specialist services, we want to ensure you never feel like you're carrying the responsibility alone.

The service can provide:

  • Confidential one-to-one support and mentoring.

  • Emotional wellbeing support for unpaid carers.

  • Opportunities to connect with other LGBTQ+ carers through community activities.

  • Practical information, advice and signposting to specialist organisations.

  • Support that recognises and celebrates diverse families, relationships and chosen families.
